Mizzou baseball will be donning some new alternate uniforms as the Tigers pay tribute to their home city of Columbi.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCoMo-inspired jerseys\u201d \u2014 pictured below via a post on the Tigers\u2019 X account \u2014 will be worn on April 21 during a non-conference game against SIU Edwardsville. The uniforms feature the city\u2019s \u201cCoMo\u201d nickname on the chest.<\/p>\n

April 21, in fact, will be \u201cCoMo Day\u201d at Taylor Stadium. The nonconferenc game will also feature a first pitch thrown by former NASCAR great Carl Edwards, a native of Columbia.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat makes Mizzou a special place is that the university is at the center of the community. It was important as a program to recognize where the majority of our support comes from. We are truly excited for CoMo day at Taylor Stadium,\u201d said Mizzou head coach Kerrick Jackson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before facing SIUE, the Tigers have a tough task in front of them as they visit Top 15 team Oklahoma for a three-game SEC series. Mizzou has lost three straight games and currently sits at 20-17 (3-12 SEC). <\/p>\n

SIUE is 20-17 overall. But it\u2019s currently tied with Eastern Illinois atop the OVC standings at 10-2. <\/p>\n

First pitch from Taylor Field on Tuesday is set for 6 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
