The Atlanta Braves\u2019 day off began with another bullpen shuffle<\/a>, and this time, right-hander Ian Hamilton got the call. In addition to his selection, the club optioned lefty Hayden Harris to Triple-A Gwinnett and designated righty Osvaldo Bido<\/a> for assignment.<\/p>\n

30-year-old Hamilton joined the Braves in December of last year and has yet to make his Atlanta debut. He\u2019s thrown just 6.1 innings in Gwinnett this season, where he owns a 2.84 ERA. He\u2019s given up just one base on balls and whiffed nine.<\/p>\n

Harris was called up earlier this week and did not get a shot at big league action. As for Bido, the move is a direct result of his lackluster outing against Miami<\/a>.<\/p>\n

More Braves News:<\/p>\n

The Braves, who have yet to lose a series<\/a>, are beginning a road trip<\/a> full of NL East<\/a> foes, and first, they take on the Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> in a three-game set.<\/p>\n

Bryce Elder<\/a> has been effective early this season and is shaping up to be a regular in the starting rotation.<\/p>\n

Jim Jarvis is on a nine-game hitting streak down in Triple-A. More in the minor league recap<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Luke Williams has rejoined the Braves on a minor-league deal, per the transaction log<\/a>. He was designated for assignment earlier this week and elected free agency.<\/p>\n

MLB News:<\/p>\n

The Washington Nationals<\/a> acquired left-hander Richard Lovelady<\/a> from the New York Mets<\/a> in exchange for cash. The Mets designated him for assignment over the weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n
