Parker Messick came within three outs of making history Thursday night, carrying a no-hitter into the ninth inning to lead the Cleveland Guardians<\/a> to a 4-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old right-hander delivered the best performance of his young career, silencing Baltimore\u2019s lineup for more than eight innings and putting himself on the brink of the majors\u2019 first no-hitter since Sept. 4, 2024. On that night, Shota Imanaga and two Chicago Cubs<\/a> relievers combined to no-hit the Pittsburgh Pirates<\/a>.<\/p>\n
