If so, the Astros could trade an All-Star third baseman.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An infield logjam as a result of the Carlos Correa reunion last summer made Isaac Paredes a popular name on the trade market during the offseason, and while he ultimately stayed put, he remains a logical trade candidate,&#8221; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/25417649-mlb-trade-ideas-contenders-danger-selling-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bleacher Report&#8217;s Joel Reuter wrote <\/a>Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Paredes is in his second year with the Astros but is hitting just .208\/.344\/.283 with no home runs and four doubles in 64 trips to the plate in 2026. The 27-year-old hit a career high 31 home runs in 2023 with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/mlb\/tampa-bay-rays\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tampa Bay Rays<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One team that could be interested in Paredes&#8217; services is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/mlb\/milwaukee-brewers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Milwaukee Brewers<\/a>, Reuters wrote. In his trade proposal, right-hander <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/milb\/prospects\/brewers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Logan Henderson and outfielder Luis Tara <\/a>are dealt to Houston.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>More:\u00a0<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/mlb\/pittsburgh-pirates\/news\/three-ways-pirates-paul-skenes-could-lose-nl-cy-young-espn\/e6bb7961156df5523df21eaa\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Three ways Pirates&#8217; Paul Skenes could lose NL Cy Young Award<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s especially true if the Astros continue to struggle, as his remaining club control through 2027 and All-Star pedigree still give him significant trade value, even if he doesn&#8217;t have an everyday home in the Houston lineup,&#8221; Reuters added to his original point that Paredes is a potential trade candidate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Luis Rengifo and David Hamilton are struggling offensively for the Brewers at third base.
