The entire bench rose to their feet for his first hit since returning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-detail_text\">In the third inning, with two outs and runners on first and third base, he stepped up to the plate and, after a long at-bat, hit breaking ball on the outside corner for a timely single to right field with just his right hand on the eighth pitch. He flashed a white smile on the base but commented, &#8220;Stay calm, stay calm.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-detail_text\">Furthermore, in the following at-bat by Yu Shimizu, he successfully stole second base.
