It’s certainly possible, but the Dodgers have won in cold and wet conditions before.

Colorado weather can be tough, but Dodgers can handle it

Unlike in 1996, when the Dodgers fell to an ultimately worse team, the 2015 Boys in Blue handled the Colorado Rockies after 4 inches of snow were cleared from Coors Field.

That game — interestingly, also a 9-4 affair — wasn’t quite as cold, being 41 degrees at first pitch and 39 by the game’s end, as reported by the Associated Press.

In this case, the result was expected; the Dodgers won the division that season, and the Rockies came in last.

What’s the weather going to be like for Dodgers-Rockies Friday night?

Much like the 2015 game in Denver, Friday has some snowfall in the forecast before a clear and cold evening.

The snow is expected to end by 3 p.m. or so, with temperatures at about 39 degrees for first pitch and falling to 36 by game’s end.

Winds will be about 10 mph, though, so it could feel colder.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register didn’t sound overly concerned about the weather.

“I’ve seen them play in worse here before,” he wrote.

This is supposed to stop in the next hour or two.
