data-wpil-monitor-id=\"229052\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atlanta Braves<\/a> will open up a three-game series with the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"Philadelphia Phillies\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/mlb\/philadelphia-phillies\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"229050\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> at Citizens Bank Park.<\/p>\n<p>The Braves come into the series after taking two out of three over the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"Miami Marlins\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/mlb\/miami-marlins\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"229049\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miami Marlins<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Atlanta Braves Announce Roster Decision<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5902732\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5902732\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JonHeyman\/status\/2044399246279901622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Jon Heyman of New York Post Sports wrote (on April 15):<\/a> \u201cMartin Perez cleared waivers yesterday, elected free agency and has signed back with Braves on a minor league deal\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Braves have now brought back Perez to their <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"MLB\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/mlb\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"229051\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MLB<\/a> roster (ahead of Friday\u2019s game).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Braves\/status\/2045145794261512503\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">The Braves wrote (via X):<\/a> \u201cThe #Braves today selected LHP <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"Mart\u00edn P\u00e9rez\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/mlb\/player\/martin-perez\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"229053\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mart\u00edn P\u00e9rez<\/a> to the major league roster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Braves?src=hashtag_click\">#Braves<\/a> today selected LHP Mart\u00edn P\u00e9rez to the major league roster.<\/p>\n<p>He will also be their starting pitcher against the Phillies (on Friday).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CrosbyBaseball\/status\/2045189326779121904\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external
