The Boston Red Sox<\/a> should start wearing their Fenway green City Connect uniforms more often.<\/p>\n

Since debuting them last year, the Red Sox have won seven games in them. Incredibly, all seven of those victories were walk-offs.<\/p>\n

Friday’s contest was just the latest instance in that unbelievable trend. Both sides traded zeroes for nine innings as Ranger Suarez and Casey Mize engaged in a good old-fashioned pitching duel.<\/p>\n

Boston finally broke through in the\u00a010th inning, prevailing on Masataka Yoshida’s walk-off, pinch-hit single<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yoshida has been red-hot lately despite spending considerable time on the bench, so it’s not surprising that he turned out to be the hero for the Red Sox’s struggling lineup<\/a>. Perhaps he’ll start earning more playing time as a result<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Boston has plenty to feel good about heading into Saturday’s showdown against reigning AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. The Red Sox are coming off back-to-back wins, giving them some momentum that they’ll try to capitalize on throughout the rest of the homestand<\/a>.<\/p>\n
