During the day, news came out that the Diamondbacks had signed Andrew Velazquez<\/a> to a minor league deal.<\/p>\n

Velazquez was picked in the seventh round of the 2012 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old spent the first two seasons of his career playing for the Tampa Bay Rays<\/a> and Cleveland Guardians<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He then played one year each for the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees.<\/p>\n

Diamondbacks And Yankees Right Now<\/p>\n

The Diamondbacks are 13-8 in 21 games, which has them as the third-place team in the American League West.<\/p>\n

They are 7-2 in nine games at home.<\/p>\n

Following one more game against the Blue Jays, the Diamondbacks will remain at home to host the Chicago White Sox<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
