The New York Mets<\/a> have been the most disappointing team to start the 2026 MLB season.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, they lost to the Chicago Cubs<\/a> (at Wrigley Field) by a score of 4-2.<\/p>\n

With the loss, the Mets are now in the middle of a ten-game losing streak.<\/p>\n

Bo Bichette<\/a> finished the loss with one hit and one run in four at-bats.<\/p>\n

He has been one of the key players on the Mets who has struggled this year.<\/p>\n

Right now, Bichette is batting<\/a> .227 with one home run, nine RBI\u2019s, eight runs and 22 strikeouts in 21 games.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that the Mets signed him to a huge contract<\/a> over the offseason.<\/p>\n

Spotrac wrote (on January 16):<\/a> \u201cBo Bichette\u2019s 3-year, $126M contract with the #Mets includes no deferred compensation, a full no trade clause, and player options in 2027 & 2028.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bichette was picked in the second round of the 2016 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

He spent the first seven years of his career with the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The two-time All-Star is coming off a season where he helped them reach the World Series.<\/p>\n

Over 769 career games, Bichette is batting<\/a> .292 with 112 home runs, 446 RBI\u2019s and 446 runs.<\/p>\n
