Storm sign UW Huskies product to training camp contract<\/a><\/p>\n MLB Draft expert Joe Doyle of Over-Slot Baseball recently highlighted UW sophomore Jackson Hotchkiss<\/a> as an intriguing prospect to watch who could receive first-round grades for the 2027 MLB Draft. Doyle, the founder of Over-Slot Baseball and a regular guest on the Seattle Sports airwaves, noted the 60-grade bat speed and raw power of Hotchkiss.<\/p>\n A graduate of Battle Ground High School in the Vancouver, Wash., area, the 20-year-old Hotchkiss has built off of a strong freshman campaign and been the Huskies\u2019 best hitter so far this season.<\/p>\n In 25 games entering Friday, he led the team in several offensive categories, including with a .361 batting average, .773 slugging percentage, 1.208 OPS and 11 homers.
