The Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> have had a rocky start to 2026, with a record of 8-13 and fourth place in the NL East.<\/p>\n

Due to this, the Phillies will probably look to shake things up in order to get back on track. FanSided\u2019s Zachary Rotman<\/a> believes the first thing they will try to do is trade their All-Star-turned-infamous infielder Alec Bohm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey might decide to trade a player like Brad Keller<\/a>, knowing how much teams can get for solid relievers with additional control at the deadline, but the most realistic candidate is probably Alec Bohm. Now, the Phillies won’t get much of anything for Bohm, a corner infielder who’s never been a good defender or had much power and is in the midst of a brutal season thus far \u2014 all while making $10.2 million. But it’s better to get something than nothing, right?\u201d Rotman wrote.<\/p>\n

So far this season, Bohm has slashed an ugly .139\/.213\/.194\/.407 with one double, one home run, and 10 RBI in 20 games. This is laughably bad, and the Phillies have to consider replacing him with a top prospect, which Rotman also notes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile again, the core won’t be moved, switching things up from Bohm feels likely. The Phillies won’t acquire his replacement in a deal, but trading him for something and replacing him in the offseason (or even with Aidan Miller) is the play,\u201d Rotman stated.<\/p>\n

Bohm might just need to get out of Philly. The atmosphere has turned against him, and a fresh start could revitalize him, and the Phillies at least get something in return instead of just letting him walk this offseason.<\/p>\n
