\nKansas (29-11, 14-4 Big 12) has won 19 of its last 22 games and 14 of its last 16 Big 12 contests. The Jayhawks currently are sitting in first place in the Big 12 standings with a two-game lead. It’s the best Big 12 start for Kansas in program history.

\nThis past weekend, Kansas claimed its fifth consecutive Big 12 series win for the first time in program history. The Jayhawks went to Stillwater and took two out of three games against Oklahoma State. After dropping the series opener, KU climbed back to win the series. It marked the first series win at Oklahoma State in school history.

\nKU is in the Top 25 for a second consecutive week and is ranked No. 15 by Baseball America, No. 16 by D1Baseball and USA Today, No. 17 by The Athletic and the NCBWA and No. 18 by Perfect Game. Kansas has the most wins of any Big 12 team this season with 29.

\nThe Jayhawks are the only team in the Big 12 with at least 70 regular season wins over the last two seasons. Kansas is one of eight programs nationally with 70 or more regular season wins between the 2025 and 2026 seasons combined.

\nNebraska (31-9, 15-3 Big Ten) is coming off a major series sweep of No. 12 USC this past weekend. The Huskers have won four straight and five of the last six games. This season, Nebraska is hitting .316 as a team and has posted a 4.60 ERA as a pitching staff. Tucker Timmerman is slated to get the ball tomorrow night for the Huskers on the mound.

\nSWINGING AND MISSING

\nJunior pitcher Dominic Voegele<\/a> recorded a career-high 15 strikeouts on Saturday at Oklahoma State. Voegele is the first Kansas pitcher with 15 strikeouts in a game since Jimmy Walker on May 31, 1993 in the Mideast Regional Championship game to qualify KU for the College World Series.

\nVoegele has gone at least seven innings in three of his last four starts.

\nSERIES HISTORY

\nKansas and Nebraska have a long history that dates back to 1892. Nebraska currently leads the all-time series 144-106-1. Kansas came from behind to win at No. 19 Nebraska earlier this season by a score of 5-3 on April 7. The teams split two games last season with Nebraska winning 7-5 on April 8, 2025 in Lawrence and Kansas winning 4-0 in Lincoln on April 22, 2025. In 2024, Kansas won both games in the season series. Kansas defeated #20 Nebraska by a score of 13-11 in the Buck O’Neil Classic on April 9, 2024 in Lawrence and then beat the Cornhuskers 9-4 on April 23, 2024 in Lincoln. After Nebraska left the conference in 2011, the teams only met once between 2012 and 2023.
