Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr.<\/p>\n

The Atlanta Braves<\/a> improved to 16-7 after their win over the Washington Nationals<\/a> on Monday. It\u2019s a four-game set between the Braves and Nationals. The Braves are the first team in Major League Baseball to 16 wins this season.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the Braves also got a bit of an injury scare with their star right fielder, Ronald Acu\u00f1a<\/a> Jr.<\/p>\n

Per Heavy on Sports news<\/a> notification alert, Acu\u00f1a Jr. was removed from Monday\u2019s game after being hit in the wrist by a pitch:<\/p>\n

\u201cAcuna exited Monday\u2019s game against the Nationals with an undisclosed injury, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. Acuna was hit by a pitch twice before leaving the game. The more concerning HBP took place in the top of the sixth inning, when he was struck on the left hand, though he managed to remain in the game to run the bases after being examined by the club\u2019s medical staff. Acuna will presumably be sent for further tests to determine the severity of his injury.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bowman is right, Acu\u00f1a Jr. was hit in on the fists with a pitch in the sixth innings. He went to baserun, but eventually had to be removed from the game. The Braves won 9-4, so it could really just be a precautionary thing. The X-Rays came back negative, according to Bowman.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

On Monday, Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr. wrnt 1-for-1 with two HBP\u2019s.<\/p>\n

In 22 games this season, Acuna Jr. is hitting .247 with one home run, five RBI, and nine runs scored.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a slow start for the Braves All-Star outfielder, but Ronald is undoubtedly Atlanta\u2019s spark plug on offense, regardless.<\/p>\n

The Braves have been the best team in MLB over the past week. They are winners of their last six games, and have won 10 of their last 12 games since the Angels<\/a> series.<\/p>\n

Atlanta still hasn\u2019t lost a series this season, and they likely won\u2019t with a four-game set against the Nationals. Bryce Elder<\/a> turned in another solid start, and the Braves\u2019 starting rotation has been a revelation this season.<\/p>\n
