On Tuesday night, the New York Yankees<\/a> will have their first meeting of the season with the Boston Red Sox<\/a> at Fenway Park.<\/p>\n

The Yankees are coming off a three-game sweep over the Kansas City Royals<\/a> (at home).<\/p>\n

Anthony Volpe<\/a> has yet to appear in an MLB game during the 2026 season, as he is recovering from injury.<\/p>\n

He has recently played<\/a> in Double-A games for the Somerset Patriots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Monday, it was announced that Volpe will now do a rehab assignment for their Triple-A team.<\/p>\n

Volpe has spent all three seasons of his career with the Yankees.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old was picked in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft.<\/p>\n

In addition to being drafted by the Yankees, Volpe is also from New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Over 472 career games, he is batting .222 with 52 home runs, 192 RBI\u2019s, 217 runs and 70 stolen bases.<\/p>\n
