Now sitting at 9-16, 3-7 over their last 10, and in last place in the American League West, something has to give for this organization.<\/p>\n<p>Many have suggested that there needs to be a change at the managerial position, with Joe Espada facing some heat. However, the better idea is to probably say this era of Astros baseball is done and try to get some young talent.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The reason the Astros are in the position they&#8217;re in is that the front office and ownership group haven&#8217;t shown a willingness to spend, and they haven&#8217;t done a great job landing above-average prospects.<\/p>\n<p>Searching for ways to fix that, or at least land a decent young player, a recent trade proposal would do just that with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/mlb\/cincinnati-reds\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cincinnati Reds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Astros Acquire: Noelvi Marte<\/p>\n<p>Reds Acquire: Gabel Pentecost<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/mlb\/houston-astros\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Houston Astros<\/a> make this trade for Noelvi Marte as a classic buy-low move driven by both need and circumstance. Off to an 8\u201315 start and sitting last in the AL West, Houston is dealing with key infield and lineup injuries, including absences from Jeremy Pe\u00f1a and Joey Loperfido, which have thinned their offensive production and overall depth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the lineup struggling to generate consistent runs, Marte offers a low-cost gamble on a former top prospect who still has enough athleticism and power potential to provide an immediate spark,\u201d Ryan Shea <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/onsi\/fantasy\/mlb\/houston-astros-buy-low-on-noelvi-marte-opening-fantasy-upside-with-more-at-bats-in-a-potential-mock-trade\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Marte is an intriguing player who has shown he can be very good one day.
