The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that closer Raisel Iglesias<\/a> was placed on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. Backdated to April 20, the move comes after he slept badly on his shoulder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fortunately, his MRI did not reveal any structural damage and it is likely that his time on the injured list will be short-lived. Mark Bowman of MLB.com<\/a> reported that the club debated resting him for 4-5 days but instead opted to place him on the IL so as to not go short in the bullpen.<\/p>\n

Iglesias has already recorded five saves in eight games this season and has proven to be a key part of the \u2018pen.<\/p>\n

To take his spot on the roster, left-hander Dylan Dodd was recalled<\/a>.<\/p>\n
