The reality is the Astros are very injured.<\/p>\n

They are even more injured than they were when they arrived in Cleveland, because Taylor Trammell, a friend of the program, is the latest to join Houston’s injured list after a groin strain from running the bases.<\/p>\n

The Orioles were just here, and the whole conversation around them was like, “Oh my God, we’re so hurt, we’re so hurt, we’re so hurt.<\/p>\n

Nobody’s more hurt than us.”<\/p>\n

And then the Astros showed up and I was like, “Okay, well, they’re, they’re more hurt than you guys for sure.”<\/p>\n

But I do feel like this is something that a lot of teams like to almost crown themselves at different points in the season.<\/p>\n

Weaponize.<\/p>\n

They’re like, “Guys, we’re, we’re the most, we’re the most injured.”<\/p>\n

And there are ways you can measure this, and the way I’m going to go about it in this here brief segment is very straightforward.<\/p>\n

But do you agree with me?<\/p>\n

Do you, do you This is something you hear over the course of a season where a team’s just like, “Man, I mean, it’s Look at us.<\/p>\n

We’re so hurt.”<\/p>\n

We’re banged up, man.<\/p>\n

We’re so banged up.<\/p>\n

We’re so, we’re so banged up.<\/p>\n

So- No one’s more banged up than us I just want, I just wanted to, to do some fact-checking here and kind of see where these teams are at.<\/p>\n

And most interestingly, also look at the other end of the spectrum, because you know what no one ever says during the season because it feels like bad luck?<\/p>\n

We’re not banged up.<\/p>\n

We’re so healthy.<\/p>\n

Man, we got everyone.<\/p>\n

We got everyone available.<\/p>\n

This is great.<\/p>\n

Nobody’s hurt.<\/p>\n

We’re feeling good.<\/p>\n

You’ll never hear that ever.<\/p>\n

But that is the case for some teams.<\/p>\n

Never.<\/p>\n

The Houston Astros, by placing Taylor Trammell on the injured list, that was their 16th player on the injured list.<\/p>\n

Jeez.<\/p>\n

11 of which are on the 15, day or 10-day.<\/p>\n

So, you know, if you move a guy to the 60, that means he’s, you know, have another spot on your 40-man roster.<\/p>\n

But they have 11 guys on what is essentially the active roster that are on the injured list.<\/p>\n

So that’s 10 pitchers and six position players.<\/p>\n

Six position players is more than any other team-<\/p>\n
