The Cardinals could not capitalize on a fielding error in the second that allowed Ram\u00f3n Ur\u00edas to reach, as Junk got Jos\u00e9 Ferm\u00edn to ground into a double play. Junk also issued a walk as he recorded two of Miami\u2019s nine punchouts for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Javier Sanoja went three-for-four from the bottom of the batting order to lead the Marlins. However, two RBIs were recorded by Jacob Marsee, including when he drew a bases-loaded walk in the second. Owen Caissie had the game\u2019s first run earlier in the frame. Marsee singled in the fourth to make the game 3-0, then Agust\u00edn Ram\u00edrez added an RBI single in the fifth to left field. An Iv\u00e1n Herrera to left-center field to lead off the ninth prevented the shutout. After a Nolan Gorman walk, Pete Fairbanks came in for the save situation, getting Ferm\u00edn to fly out and Nathan Church to strike out swinging.<\/p>\n<p>Kyle Leahy was tagged with the loss and all four earned run on eight hits, allowing three walks but striking out two.<\/p>\n<p>The Cardinals are now 14-10 and will travel home Thursday during their day off.
