But there\u2019s a certain type of player that data can\u2019t measure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/los-angeles-dodgers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dodgers<\/a> 2025 World Series hero <a href=\"http:\/\/miguel rojas new york post\" rel=\"nofollow\">Miguel Rojas<\/a> is one of those players. He\u2019s made a career out of living in the blind spots. On Tuesday, in an Instagram comment to a post by <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JeffPassan?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">ESPN\u2019s Jeff Passan<\/a>, he made sure everyone remembered.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39167614\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/crop-39167610.jpg\" alt=\"Miguel Rojas of the Los Angeles Dodgers holds the Commissioner's Trophy as his team celebrates winning the 2025 World Series.\" class=\"wp-image-39167614\"  \/>Miguel Rojas holds the Commissioner\u2019s Trophy after defeating the Toronto Blue Jays to win the 2025 World Series. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Passan shared a clip from a sitdown interview with Dodgers\u2019 manager Dave Roberts and Blue Jays manager John Schneider as they revisited the epic 2025 World Series, Game 7, specifically.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Schneider didn\u2019t mince words when he mentioned that the data and analytics on Blue Jays\u2019 pitcher Jeff Hoffman vs. Rojas was heavily tilted in Toronto\u2019s favor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can say this, and it is no offense to anyone, that Hoffman vs. Rojas was the best on the sheet,\u201d said Schneider. \u201cPart of our projection was ground out, pop out or fly out. It\u2019s not like a slam dunk punch out, but it was something like that, not the actual outcome.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s just one exception. The game of baseball doesn\u2019t care about projections or what looks the best on the sheet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The actual outcome was Rojas launching a game-tying home run in the top of the ninth inning with the Dodgers down to their final two outs.
