<\/p>\n AMHERST, Mass. (April 22, 2026) \u2013 The Stonehill College baseball team earned an 11-5 victory over non-conference opponent University of Massachusetts on Wednesday night at Earl Lorden Field. With the win, the Skyhawks improved to 15-20 overall, while the Minutemen fell to 12-21 on the season.
\u00a0 The Skyhawks extended their lead in the fourth, highlighted by a two-run single from Parks, building an 8-4 advantage heading into the fifth.<\/p>\n After a scoreless fifth, Stonehill continued to add on with runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings. Freshman Tyler Redden<\/a> reached on a ground ball and error to plate Bureau who laced a double into the right center gap to lead off the sixth, Robinson added a sacrifice fly, and sophomore Brayden Rader<\/a> capped the stretch with an RBI single to make it 11-4.<\/p>\n UMass got one back in the eighth, but Stonehill maintained control down the stretch and capped off its scoring in the top of the ninth with a majestic solo blast off the bat of Bureau, sealing the 12-5 victory. \n\tJunior Nathan Kearney<\/a> stayed hot at the plate, recording his fourth three-hit performance in his last five games, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored.
\n\tGraduate student Sam Parks<\/a> powered the offense with a season-high four RBI, finishing 2-for-4 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch.
\n\tJunior Jamison Howland<\/a> and freshman Kacin Robinson<\/a> tallied their 12th and ninth multi-hit games of the season, respectively.
\n\tJunior John Bureau<\/a> hit his first career home run as a Skyhawk, going 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored.
\n\tJunior Ryan LeClair<\/a> extended his team-leading on-base streak to 30 games, while senior Michael Rickert<\/a> pushed his to 23 straight.
\n\tFreshman Felix Stork<\/a> made his first collegiate start, allowing three runs over 1.1 innings while striking out one.
\n\tSophomore Hunter Bell<\/a> earned his first win of the season with 3.0 scoreless innings of relief, allowing just two hits and striking out two.

\nHow It Happened
\nStonehill struck first in the second inning when Parks delivered an RBI single to score Robinson. UMass responded with a pair of RBI doubles to take a 3-1 lead, but the Skyhawks answered right back in the third. RBI singles from Robinson and freshman Jackson Enders<\/a>, followed by a bases-loaded walk by Parks, pushed Stonehill back in front, 4-3.<\/p>\n
