Junior Dillon McCarthy went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, but the Oregon baseball team lost to Monona Grove 9-2 in a Badger Large Conference game on Tuesday, April 21, at Fireman\u2019s Park in Cottage Grove.<\/p>\n
McCarthy came through with an RBI single in the top of the third inning to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.<\/p>\n
The Silver Eagles rallied with a five-run bottom of the fourth.<\/p>\n
McCarthy hit a solo home run to right field in the sixth. The Panthers used four pitchers. Matthew Schultz tossed 1 \u2154 shutout innings in relief. Daniel Neis also pitched one shutout inning and struck out two.<\/p>\n
Oregon then lost a rematch against Monona Grove 6-0 on Thursday, April 23, at Zach Field.<\/p>\n
With the losses, Oregon drops to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the Badger Large.<\/p>\n

Borchardt added a single for the Panthers. Oregon\u2019s Tony Perkins pitched a complete game and gave up six earned runs on 10 hits.
