His usual leadoff spot was coming up third in the bottom half of the inning.<\/p>\n \u201cMore times than not, it\u2019s been fine,\u201d pitching coach Mark Prior said in a conversation with The Times before the game. \u201cBut there are occasions where those conversations in between with the catcher or the staff doesn\u2019t always happen.
