IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect<\/p>\n<p>The quarterback, who wore a custom Marlins jersey for the occasion, skied his throw over Miami infielder Graham Pauley \u2014 with even MLB taking a swipe at the 26-year-old.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMalik Willis\u2019 first pitch was just a bit high,\u2019 the league\u2019s official account wrote on X, along with a video of the moment.<\/p>\n<p>NFL fans had a field day with the clip, with one <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EliesenDan\/status\/2050579047889965497\" rel=\"nofollow\">saying:<\/a> \u201cNo way around it, this is an absolutely awful look for QB1.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/markymxrk_\/status\/2050568927453864098\" rel=\"nofollow\">joked: <\/a>\u201cGonna be tossing Cuban sandwiches and croqueta preparadas to the safeties all season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Marlins would go on to lose the game 6-5 to the Phillies.<\/p>\n<p>Miami Dolphins new quarterback Malik Willis laughs with Miami Marlins third baseman Graham Pauley (21)after throwing a ceremonial first pitch before the game against the Philadelphia Phillies at loanDepot Park.  Rhona Wise-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p>Following some impressive performances in relief of Jordan Love, Willis has earned the chance to be an NFL starter after releasing Tua Tagovailoa.<\/p>\n<p>In his last three starts for the Packers, Willis produced 612 passing yards and six total touchdowns (three rushing with no interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis is expected to receive free-agent offers in the neighborhood of $25 million per season.
