The Los Angeles Angels<\/a> finally broke their seven-game losing streak against theNew York Mets<\/a> last night as they won a 4-3 decision in ten innings, with Oswald Peraza<\/a> providing the heroics with bases-loaded, two-out single that gave the Halos a walk-off victory.<\/p>\n

The Angels scored first in this one off Mets starter Nolan McLean<\/a>, which was surprising to say the least. A pair of singles by Jorge Soler<\/a> and Nolan Schanuel<\/a> put runners in scoring position, and another single by Jo Adell<\/a> plated Schanuel as Soler got thrown out at third before the run scored, but the Mets inexplicably failed to challenge and the run stood.<\/p>\n

The Mets got the run back on an RBI infield hit in the third by Bo Bichette<\/a>, but McLean gave it up in the fourth on a two-run RBI single Vaughn Grissom<\/a> to make it 3-1 Angels. Angels starter Reid Detmers<\/a> held the lead until the seventh, when the Mets rallied on a double by Mark Vientos<\/a>, and Marcus Semien<\/a> followed with a single. New Mets acquisition Andy Ibanez<\/a> drove in the first run on a sacrifice fly, and a single by Tyrone Taylor<\/a> brought home Semien for the second.<\/p>\n

The score stayed at 3-3 through nine innings, and reliever Ryan Zeferjahn<\/a> was able to keep the Mets from scoring first in the tenth. A Bo Bichette double-play ball took out two runners after Brett Baty<\/a> reached on a catcher\u2019s interference call, and Francisco Alvarez couldn\u2019t get the run home with a fly ball after the Angels intentionally walked Juan<\/a> Soto.<\/p>\n

The Angels loaded the bases in the bottom of the inning as Soler walked and Adell singled to move ghost runner Adam Frazier<\/a> to third. Reliever Austin Warren<\/a> managed to get two outs, but single by Oswald Peraza produced the walk-off win for the Halos, with Zeferjahn getting the win for the Angels after pitching two innings of scoreless relief.<\/p>\n

The offensive heroes in this one included Peraza, who had a three-hit night, and so did Adell as both added an RBI. Mike Trout<\/a> had two hits and a walk as his relentless comeback continues, and he boosted his average to .256 to go with an OPB of .431.<\/p>\n
