As the, as the Cubs win eight to four.<\/p>\n

They’ve won 12 straight at Wrigley Field.<\/p>\n

And Jake Mintz, you were at Wrigley Field, first as a credentialed member of the media, and then as a normie- Yeah in the bleachers.<\/p>\n

So tell us about your experience in Chicago.<\/p>\n

Dude, Wrigley rips.<\/p>\n

Wrigley is just great.<\/p>\n

I had not been there since the literal World Series in 2016.<\/p>\n

The ni- the, the neighborhood has certainly changed a bit.<\/p>\n

Taco Bell’s gone.<\/p>\n

and I would say the soul of the neighborhood has It’s not the same as it once was, that’s for certain.<\/p>\n

But once you’re in the park, once you’re in the bleachers, what a delight.<\/p>\n

It is a unique environment.<\/p>\n

It is genuinely special.<\/p>\n

I had never taken in a game from the bleachers before.<\/p>\n

That is just as good as it gets.<\/p>\n

It, it, it is the closest to, like, a college sports or European soccer kind of vibe, with the way that the bleachers are a character themselves.<\/p>\n

And when you’re out there, the game, it’s not, like, secondary, and people aren’t, like, not locked into the game.<\/p>\n

But it’s like, “Oh, there’s the beer snake getting taken by the, you know, the steward,” and everyone boos him.<\/p>\n

And then he hands the beer snake back, and then everyone cheers.<\/p>\n

And then, like, someone gets a ball, and they hand it to a kid, and everyone goes nuts.<\/p>\n

Like, it, it is its own type of experience, and I just wanna go do it again.<\/p>\n

Like, I It was so refreshing and invigorating to, like, take a game in that way, you know?<\/p>\n

So often I’m wearing pants that, like, nicer pants and, like, boots and, you know, a, a buttoned shirt in the press box, and I got to, not do that.<\/p>\n

I got to not do that.<\/p>\n

I got to have a beer or two.<\/p>\n

I got to take my tarp off.<\/p>\n

And and I got to sing “Go Cubs Go.”<\/p>\n

And it was great.<\/p>\n

Cubs are, they’re just kinda doing everything you would, you would want as far as their production.<\/p>\n

Like, sure, you’re still waiting on- The pitching- PCA a little bit.<\/p>\n

And the pitching is very injured, for sure.<\/p>\n

The pitching is in- Very injured is in a delicate, is in a delicate position because of how injured they’ve been.<\/p>\n

And yet, even with a ton of guys missing, we know some of whom are not coming back, like Cade Horton, which is a huge bummer.<\/p>\n

But their recipe is looking very similar to what it was last year- Yeah which is throw the ball over the plate and let our best defense in baseball cook.<\/p>\n

I- they’re gonna- That’s the biggest thing eventually start giving up a lot of home runs.<\/p>\n

When I was looking at the Cubs- But still sure, as it heats up a little, especially at home, we’ll see more homers there.<\/p>\n

The What is the Cubs’ superpower?<\/p>\n

What do they do well, right?<\/p>\n

What are they elite at?<\/p>\n

Because when we talk about teams winning the World Series, we’ve said this time and time again, do you have someone that can be an MVP?<\/p>\n

Do you really have someone that can win an MVP award?<\/p>\n

I look at the Cubs’ offense, I’m not sure I see that person.<\/p>\n

But what’s a little bit different about this club is that the defense is a potential separator, that they play so good out there that they’re s- just stealing outs.<\/p>\n

And when the whole team’s doing that, I think it does raise the operation to a level where you maybe don’t need to have, like, a, a difference-making hitter.<\/p>\n
