<\/p>\nST. CLOUD \u2014\u00a0The St. Cloud State baseball team finished its regular season with a 12-3 win over the University of Mary on Saturday, May 2, at Joe Faber Field.<\/p>\n
The Huskies (17-19 NSIC, 21-28 overall) scored five times in the first and hit a season-best five home runs.<\/p>\n
Redshirt junior left fielder Hayden Konkol, redshirt senior shortstop Eric Bello and junior right fielder Wilmis Castro all homered for SCSU. Konkol was 2-for-5 with an RBI, Bello was 2-for-5 with two homers and three RBI, Castro was 4-for-5 with two solo homers and senior catcher Wyatt Tweet was 2-for-3 with two RBI for SCSU.<\/p>\n
Bello and Castro hit back-to-back homers in the first inning.<\/p>\n
Senior right-hander Eamonn Mulhern got the win in relief, throwing 2-2\/3 scoreless innings, giving up two hits with one walk and one strikeout.<\/p>\n

In Game 1 on Friday, May 1, the Marauders swept a doubleheader at Joe Faber Field. Lucas Burgum gave up three hits and one earned run with three strikeouts and one walk over five innings to pick up the win in an 8-1 victory for the Marauders (27-10, 34-16) in seven innings.<\/p>\n
Right fielder Isaac Pegors was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI and third baseman Kieran Gaffney and catcher Cru Walker both had two RBI for the Marauders. <\/p>\n
Redshirt senior first baseman Liam Moreno was 2-for-3 with a double for the Huskies. Senior right-hander Kahler Key took the loss, giving up 10 hits and eight earned runs with six strikeouts and three walks over six innings.<\/p>\n
In Game 2, Ryan Chamberlain gave up two hits in three scoreless relief innings to help Mary to a 3-1 win. Mary scored two runs with two outs in the top of the eighth to pull ahead. Designated hitter Andrew Linn and left fielder Luke Rhee had back-to-back RBI singles for the Marauders.<\/p>\n
Castro was 1-for-3 with an RBI and senior right-hander Bryce Brassfield took the loss. Brassfield gave up seven hits and two earned runs with seven strikeouts and one walk in 7-2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n
