The left-handed-hitting slugger sustained the injury while attempting to leg out an infield single in an early-April game against the Chicago White Sox, initially being diagnosed with bilateral ankle discomfort. <\/p>\n<p>Prior to his injury, Barger had yet to replicate his success from last season, logging just one hit and three walks in 23 plate appearances.<\/p>\n<p>Barger broke out for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/baseball\/mlb\/teams\/toronto-blue-jays\/\" class=\"sn-team-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-team=\"toronto-blue-jays\" data-league=\"mlb\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> in 2025 with 21 home runs, 74 RBIs and an .756 OPS.
