How far Mississippi State fell in college baseball polls after Auburn series loss<\/p>\n

STARKVILLE \u2014 A second consecutive SEC series loss for Mississippi State baseball<\/a> dropped the Bulldogs in the latest polls again.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs<\/a> (38-14, 15-12 SEC) fell one spot to No. 12 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll<\/a> released on May 11. They also fell two spots to No. 13 in the D1Baseball poll.<\/p>\n

MSU’s RPI is down to No. 12 after losing two of three games against Auburn<\/a> at Dudy Noble Field.<\/p>\n

One series remains for Mississippi State in the regular season at No. 10 Texas A&M (37-12, 16-10) starting May 14 (6 p.m., SEC Network+). Mississippi State is tied with Florida and Arkansas for sixth place in the SEC standings.<\/p>\n

A series win at Texas A&M would be the Bulldogs’ first over a team in the top half of the SEC standings.<\/p>\n
