The Atlanta Braves<\/a> have gotten off to a strong start to the season, having a firm grip on the top spot in the National League East, sitting nine games above the second-place Philadelphia Phillies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An impressive thing to note about the Braves\u2019 success so far is that they\u2019ve had to do it while not being at full power, given the likes of Ronald Acuna Jr<\/a> and Ha-Seong Kim<\/a> have missed time throughout the campaign. While Acuna has been out since early May, Kim hasn\u2019t touched the field at all for Atlanta this season, as he recovered from an injured tendon in his finger after slipping in South Korea.<\/p>\n

However, all of this would change on Tuesday night, when it was announced that the Korean infielder would make his return to Truist Park for the first time since last season, as the Braves hosted the Chicago Cubs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His return might not have gone the way that Kim had hoped for, only recording a walk in his three at-bats against Chicago. But it will take some time for the former Gold Glover to find his footing, getting back to the .253\/.316\/.368 that he slashed with Atlanta last season.<\/p>\n

The Braves\u2019 front office will be wanting their shortstop to get producing, given the one-year, $20 million contract they rewarded him with in the offseason.<\/p>\n

The Braves’ next match will come against the Cubs on Wednesday night, with first pitch slated for 7:15 p.m. EST.<\/p>\n
