On Friday night, the New York Yankees<\/a> will open up a series with the New York Mets<\/a> at Citi Field.<\/p>\n

They were off on Thursday (after losing two out of three games to the Baltimore Orioles<\/a> at Camden Yards).<\/p>\n

The Yankees have had a lot of notable prospects playing for their Triple-A affiliate (SWB RailRiders).<\/p>\n

One player who was recently called up to Triple-A was Marco Luciano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since joining the RailRiders, he is batting<\/a> .333 with six hits, one home run, three RBI\u2019s and six runs in his first five games.<\/p>\n

His strong start in Triple-A is following 28 games in Double-A where he batted .327.<\/p>\n

Luciano was once considered an elite prospect<\/a> when he started out his career with the San Francisco Giants.<\/p>\n

He has appeared in 41 MLB<\/a> games, batting .217 with 25 hits, three RBI\u2019s, 14 runs and one stolen base.<\/p>\n

If the 24-year-old continues to play well, he could get another chance in the Majors with the Yankees.<\/p>\n
