While the <a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/mlb\/colorado-rockies\/rockies-news-warren-schaefer-glows-mickey-moniak-breakout-season\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rockies have been enjoying a breakout season<\/a> for Dollander, he will now be put on the injured list (IL).<\/p>\n<p>According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Dollander has been placed on the 15-day IL due to a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BNightengale\/status\/2055380163966468439\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">\u201cright elbow strain.\u201d<\/a> In the start against the Pirates, Dollander only threw one inning and 28 pitches, allowing three earned runs, five hits, and walking one batter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Colorado Rockies place their budding young pitching star, Chase Dollander, on the 15-day IL, with a right elbow strain,\u201d Nightengale wrote on X, formerly Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the injury was said to be arm tightness, which was sustained during the disappointing start against the Pirates on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRockies starter Chase Dollander is <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/colin_beazley\/status\/2054972898738147365\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">leaving this game with an injury after<\/a> allowing an Endy Rodriguez double and walking Jared Triolo. The Rockies bullpen will have to cover eight innings, already trailing 3-0. This is an opportunity the Pirates have to take advantage of,\u201d Colin Beazley of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>Rockies&#8217; Chase Dollander didn&#8217;t know of the issue after the game\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So far this season with the Rockies, Dollander has thrown a 3.89 ERA to go along with 47 strikeouts and a 3-3 record in 10 starts. The 25-year-old would speak after Thursday&#8217;s game and wasn&#8217;t too sure of what the issue was, with manager Warren Schaeffer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/news\/chase-dollander-exits-start-with-injury\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">mentioning arm tightness.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know; I\u2019m not sure,\u201d Dollander said, via MLB.com. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say too much before anything else happens \u2013 not to freak myself out or anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust general arm tightness is what we\u2019re going to roll with right now,\u201d Schaeffer said. \u201cI\u2019m sure it had something to do with the way he was throwing the ball early.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, it remains to be seen how Dollander comes back from the elbow injury, as Colorado has a 17-27 record, which puts them last in the NL West.<\/p>\n<p>After Colorado Rockies pitcher Chase Dollander exited the matchup against the Pittsbugh Pirates with an elbow injury, as the team eventually lost 7-2 on Thursday, the extent of the young star&#8217;s issue has been revealed.
