Nine batters reached base as Worcester totaled six hits and eight walks, but they struggled to drive runs in.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tDouble-A Portland Sea Dogs<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSeries at Hartford Yard Goats (Colorado Rockies): 3-1\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSeason Record: 17-19\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPortland won 2-1 behind strong pitching and timely hitting.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/c\/couloda01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=talksox.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-05-16_br\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Danny Coulombe<\/a> made his first rehab start on Friday, turning in an inning of one-hit ball. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=holobe000joh&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=talksox.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-05-16_br\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">John Holobetz<\/a> took the next five innings, working an excellent outing of his own. Philips bumped his ERA to 8.44 as he lost his third game of the year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=spragu000she&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=talksox.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-05-16_br\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shea Sprague<\/a> took the next three and \u2154, but wasn\u2019t much better. He gave up eight hits, and walked an additional four batters. He allowed four more runs, striking out four. His ERA rose as well, to 6.45.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIt wasn\u2019t much better for Greenville at the plate. In the third, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=yuten-000nat&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=talksox.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-05-16_br\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Natanael Yuten<\/a> clubbed his fourth homer of the year, a solo shot to center field that put the Drive in the scoring column. The Drive\u2019s other run also came by way of the long ball. He leads the Red Sox organization in home runs. Outside of Rodriguez and Yuten, the Drive were silent when it came to driving runs in. They went 0-for-11 with RISP and left nine runners on base. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=encarn000fre&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=talksox.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-05-16_br\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Freili Encarnacion<\/a> was the only one to record multiple hits, hitting a triple in the eighth inning. However, facing an eight-run deficit, it wasn\u2019t enough to bring Salem back into the game.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tLow-A Salem RidgeYaks<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSeries at Fredericksburg Nationals (Washington Nationals): 1-3\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSeason Record: 17-20\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSalem fell 6-5 despite an outstanding performance from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=hodge-000ty-&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=talksox.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-05-16_br\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ty Hodge<\/a> in a close contest.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=gilman000jas&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=talksox.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-05-16_br\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jason Gilman<\/a> took the first two and \u2154 innings for Salem, allowing a two-run homer in the first inning.
