Pete Crow-Armstrong will indeed be punished for his vulgar words toward a fan<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Cubs center fielder has been fined for his graphic language during a heated interaction with a woman at Sunday\u2019s 9-8 loss against the rival White South at Rate Field on the South Side of Chicago, ESPN\u2019s Jesse Rogers reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The dollar amount for the fine was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

A female fan in white said she was heckling Pete Crow-Armstrong on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Crow-Armstrong went up for a play at the wall in the top of the fifth inning, failing to reel in what turned into a two-run double for the White Sox\u2019s Miguel Vargas.<\/p>\n

After Crow-Armstrong missed the ball, the female White Sox fan, standing inside the outfield wall with a chainlink covering, had a appeared to say \u201cyou suck\u201d toward the Cubs star.<\/p>\n

Crow-Armstrong mouthed back at the fan: \u201cYou suck my f\u2013king d\u2013k bitch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crow-Armstrong was fined for the incident.<\/p>\n

The fan told the Chicago Sun-Times<\/a> that she was having her engagement party at the ballpark and had intended to rib Crow-Armstrong during the game. <\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal the entire time we planned this,\u2019\u2019 the woman, whose fianc\u00e9 is a Cubs fan, said, \u201cwas we knew PCA was in center field and we\u2019re like, we\u2019re going to heckle him at some point. \u2026 Right when he was up at the fence, we\u2019re like, \u2018This is our prime opportunity, OK?\u2019 \u201cSo we just got booing him. I said he sucked, and then he said words that I don\u2019t want to repeat, you shouldn\u2019t say to a woman. And then both my brothers were up there against the fence, too.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

One day after the 9-8 loss, Crow-Armstrong apologized<\/a> for what he said to the woman. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just regret my choice of words the most, and who that affects in my life directly and indirectly,\u201d Crow-Armstrong told reporters on Monday. \u201cI don\u2019t think that any of the women in my life would ever think that I would use those kinda of words regularly, especially referring to them. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo I\u2019m just bummed out by the word choice and that a bunch of little kids go and probably find their way to social media and see that as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crow-Armstrong, the former Mets prospect who became a first-time All-Star in 2025, signed a six-year, $115 million extension<\/a> in March. <\/p>\n
