The Los Angeles Angels<\/a> saw their six-game losing streak end on Monday in thrilling fashion.<\/p>\n

Despite the Angels being no-hit for eight innings, Zach Neto<\/a> hit a game-winning, walk-off two-run home run to spoil J.T. Ginn’s outing<\/a> and give LA the win over the Athletics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the Angels came crashing back down to Earth on Tuesday with an ugly 14-6 loss at home.<\/p>\n

Reid Detmers<\/a> went 5.2 innings and allowed eight runs on eight hits with eight strikeouts in a weird game.<\/p>\n

Ryan Johnson<\/a> later threw two innings, but he allowed five runs on four hits.<\/p>\n

The Athletics<\/a> broke the scoring wide open with a six-run third inning, but the Angels made things interesting.<\/p>\n

Mike Trout<\/a> hit a home run in the third, and Trout walked with the bases loaded with Vaughn Grissom<\/a> driving in a pair of runs to make it 6-4.<\/p>\n

However, Nick Kurtz<\/a> drove in two with a single in the sixth, and the Athletics scored at least one run in each of the final four innings, including a four-spot in the eighth to run away with the victory.<\/p>\n

Zack Gelof<\/a> and Brent Rooker<\/a> each had 3 RBIs for the Athletics, Colby Thomas<\/a> had a pair of RBIs, and Kurtz went 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs to lead the way for the Athletics.<\/p>\n

However, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com pointed out a worrisome trend for the Angels on Tuesday: Bad hitting with runners in scoring position.<\/p>\n

Leaving 11 runners on base is never a good sign, although it might not have mattered with the Athletics scoring a pair of touchdowns on Tuesday night in Anaheim.<\/p>\n

Jacob Lopez<\/a> started for the Athletics, and he went just 3.2 innings, giving up four runs on seven hits to see his ERA jump to 6.14.<\/p>\n

The Athletics used five relievers on the night, and the Angels used only three of their bullpen arms, although it wasn’t a very positive outing for any of them.<\/p>\n

The Angels now have 32 losses on the year and continue to trend in the wrong direction.<\/p>\n

The Angels will have Jack Kochanowiz (2-3, 4.56 ERA) on the mound on Wednesday night as Aaron Civale<\/a> (5-1 2.70 ERA) takes the mound for the Athletics.<\/p>\n
