Los Angeles Angels<\/a> fans want to see change in the struggling franchise and have no plans of giving up on those demands anytime soon. On Saturday, hundreds of fans gathered at the State College Boulevard stadium entrance to protest against Angels owner, Arte Moreno.<\/p>\n

Fans had already started \u201cSell the team\u201d chants<\/a> during previous games leading up to the protest. But Saturday\u2019s protest was the most public call for change from Angels fans so far.<\/p>\n

Who Started the Protest?<\/p>\n

Angels fan Johnny Gonzalez was the creator of an Instagram flyer advertising the protest. The flyer was posted onto an account called \u201cAngelsboycott\u201d on May 4.<\/p>\n

The post quickly drew attention, earning more than 800,000 views and 22,000 likes on Instagram. Gonzalez told the California Post<\/a> he received support from other fans prior to the protest.<\/p>\n

Gonzalez also told the California Post<\/a> that Angels fans plan to continue demanding change from Moreno.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first time something like this has happened in Angels fan history,\u201d Gonzalez said. \u201cWe\u2019ve reached a boiling point, and you can see it. I\u2019m just happy all the fans are here to support each other, make a message, and stand up for what\u2019s right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not gonna stop,\u201d Gonzalez added. \u201cWe\u2019re having too much fun across the street for the Anaheim Ducks, and we want the same energy over here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moreno and the rest of the ownership is now faced with three decisions: either sell the team, adjust and re-earn the trust of the fan base or watch fans\u2019 frustration continue to play out in public in their own ballpark.<\/p>\n
