This is like an everyday occurrence,\u201d Marmol said. \u201cWe felt like (the Brewers) were being pretty demonstrative about relaying signs from the dugout.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>Marmol said that\u2019s when he mouthed and gestured to the Brewers&#8217; dugout.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI looked over and I said, \u2018Hey, you gotta do it, be smart, you\u2019re gonna get somebody hurt,\u2019\u201d Marmol said, while pointing to his ribs. \u201cLike what we trying to do here? That was it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marmol said there was also an incident involving an unnamed Brewers coach before the game concerning the sign-relaying issue. That same coach and Marmol spoke after the game, according to Marmol, who said he hadn\u2019t had any discussions with Brewers manager Pat Murphy, who condemned Uribe\u2019s antics, calling it \u201cunacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked if the matter was settled, Marmol said: \u201cI have no reason to think it\u2019s not. Usually, you just don\u2019t get that type of demonstrative reaction that spurs further question, that\u2019s just the reality of it. But we have those types of interaction daily across the league.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>Yelich, speaking in the Brewers&#8217; clubhouse on Wednesday, described Uribe\u2019s gesture as \u201ca little bit over the top.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, I don\u2019t think the strikeout celebration is something we need to be doing,\u201d Yelich said. \u201cHe\u2019s a guy that always has his teammates&#8217; backs. I appreciate where he was coming from on it, but I think there\u2019s a different way to handle that situation and he knows that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yelich also said there has been \u201csome stuff going on during the series that I don\u2019t really know why it was going on,\u201d but declined to elaborate.<\/p>\n<p>Yelich said the Brewers didn\u2019t want the matter to distract from their performance on the field.
