Somehow the Minnesota Twins have remained afloat in 2026 with a 27-29 record<\/a>. That\u2019s despite an owner who didn\u2019t spend any money<\/a>, and a roster that\u2019s bleeding players<\/a> onto the injured list left and right.<\/p>\n Credit manager Derek Shelton for navigating troubled waters. According to MyMSK Clinic<\/a>, posterior elbow soreness is often caused by olecranon bursitis (inflammation of the fluid-filled sac at the joint\u2019s tip) or triceps tendinitis (overuse of the triceps muscle).<\/p>\n Inflammation isn\u2019t good\u2026 but tendinitis would be a bit more worrisome. However, we will have to wait to hear more from the Twins before we go too far down that road.<\/p>\n Rojas last appeared<\/a> in relief on May 23 against the Red Sox (3.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K). He started last (his first and only career start) on May 18 against Houston (4.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K).<\/p>\n The Minnesota Twins are attempting to split their four-game series today against the White Sox, after losing game three by a score of 15-2. Woods Richardson will go up against Chicago\u2019s breakout starter, Davis Martin<\/a>.<\/p>\n Rojas\u2019 injury comes while Pablo Lopez (Tommy John<\/a>) and Mick Abel (inflammation<\/a>) have already been on the IR all season dealing with elbow injuries of their own.<\/p>\n MN Twins need Simeon Woods Richardson to be better<\/p>\n The Minnesota Twins can\u2019t afford to keep running out the same Simeon Woods Richardson, but at this point, they don\u2019t have much of a choice.<\/p>\n In his last seven starts before going to the bullpen, SWR posted a 9.79 ERA (7.02 FIP)<\/a> and a horrendous 14\/17 K\/BB. He hasn\u2019t missed bats all year, or much of his career in general, and that\u2019s made his life increasingly difficult, as big league hitters begin to get more at bats against him.<\/p>\n Out of the bullpen, Simeon Woods Richardson had been a lot better, in part thanks to an uptick in velocity.
