Just don’t ask him to describe it.

The 24-year-old infielder launched a two-run home run off the Orioles’ Trevor Rogers in the seventh inning of the Blue Jays’ furious come-from-behind 6-5 win in Baltimore.

McAdoo, the majors’ first position player from San Jose State since the Giants’ Kevin Frandsen in 2015, said his “heartbeat was beating pretty fast” all day. But he couldn’t really say what he was feeling when he belted a 93 mph fastball 369 feet over the right-center field fence to cut Toronto’s deficit to 5-4.

“I saw it clear the wall, kind of just ran around the bases,” McAdoo told reporters. “I can’t even put it into words. It’s just awesome.”

The Jays later took the lead on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s two-run double in the eighth inning, which capped a furious rally from a 5-0 deficit.

McAdoo was hitting .250 with eight home runs and 27 RBIs in Triple-A when he was called up to the majors. He was originally drafted out of San Jose State by Pittsburgh in the 13th round of the 2023 MLB Draft, then traded to Toronto in 2024 for Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

Wire services contributed to this report.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class=" lazyautosizes lazyload" alt="Toronto Blue Jays' Charles McAdoo, during his MLB debut, hits a two-run home run during the seventh inning of a baseball game against the Baltimore Orioles, Friday, May 29, 2026, in Baltimore.
