The MLB season is in full swing, and about a third of the games have already been played. There have been surprises that are both good and bad ones. Such as the Washington Nationals<\/a> being 31-30 or the Detroit Tigers<\/a> massively struggling. The question remains for the teams like Detroit, the New York Mets<\/a>, the San Francisco Giants<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n

Will These Team Make the Postseason?<\/p>\n

Tier 1: Its Most Certainly Not OverNew York Mets<\/p>\n

The Mets have struggled and struggled due to an lack of offense and massive injury issues. However, the Mets are soon to see Jorge Polanco<\/a> while they have also seen Jared Young<\/a> rejoin the team. The Mets need good pitching again from Nolan McLean<\/a>, but if your team has Juan Soto<\/a> and help from the IL coming, then it is never over. After all, the Mets were 22-33 in 2024 and were 22-33 in 2026 as well.<\/p>\n

Baltimore Orioles<\/a><\/p>\n

The Baltimore Orioles<\/a> have been a bit a paper tiger so far this season. Why? Essentially the Orioles had a lineup that should have been easily top three in baseball \u2013 but it has been a bit average. Combine this with a shaky bullpen and it is easy to see why the O\u2019s have some work to do. The good thing is though they are 6-3 in their last nine and can comeback for one main reason: the AL is really bad this season.<\/p>\n

Texas Rangers<\/a><\/p>\n

Last but not least, the Texas Rangers<\/a> have the ability to still claim the division. The rotation is looking much better of late while the offense has done much better. The Rangers have a good rotation, they just simply need a much better offense. If Texas can do that, then they could very well be in the postseason.<\/p>\n

Tier 2: Honestly, Just Tank \u2013 That Is Probably the Best ChoiceBoston Red Sox<\/a><\/p>\n

For some strange reason, even though the Boston Red Sox<\/a> are in the same boat as the Mets in a way, the Sox seem to be in a much more dangerous situation. Unlike New York, the Red Sox best hitter isn\u2019t going to carry them on their back. The Red Sox do have pretty good pitching, but their offense is very untrustworthy at the moment. High prospects like Roman Anthony<\/a> have been really bad and the Red Sox are really regretting trading for certain players. Overall, it\u2019s not over, but this team lacks momentum.<\/p>\n

Detroit Tigers<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t look at the stats of the Tigers players if you want to be happy as a baseball fan. The Tigers offense and pitching are both horrible, and even if they got Tarik Skubal<\/a> back, there is pretty much no way they\u2019re coming back from being 15 games below .500. Their best hitter is probably Riley Greene<\/a> who only has five home runs. Everyone else seems to be hitting in the low .200s. The Tigers are about as alive as Colorado Rockies<\/a> right now.<\/p>\n

San Francisco Giants<\/p>\n

If there is one team that is horrible \u2013 it is the Giants. San Francisco<\/a> should have a big three in Willy Adames<\/a>, Rafael Devers<\/a>, and Matt Chapman<\/a>. However both Adames and Devers have left a lot to be desired. As for Chapman\u2026 Yikes. Two home runs and a .234 average. Luis Arraez<\/a> has done what he was supposed to and Casey Schmitt<\/a> has been amazing. However, their rotation, bullpen, and offense are all bad. Simply put, the Giants are very dead. Just be happy your not a fan of the Giants.<\/p>\n

Tier 3: They Are Pretenders, Not ContendersWashington Nationals<\/p>\n

The Nationals offense is no joke. However, the minute the offense is shut down the Nat\u2019s will be very bad. Their defense is terrible, having the most errors in the MLB. Their pitching is also no where near being able to get the Nat\u2019s into the postseason. Washington has definitely been good, but it won\u2019t last.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati Reds<\/a><\/p>\n

The beginning of the season saw an amazing offense from the now positive Cincinnati Reds<\/a>. However, the juggernaut of an offense they had has disappeared. Sal Stewart<\/a> has cooled down and Eugenio Suarez<\/a> has left a LOT to be desired. Even then, the rotation is actually bad too. To put it simply, the Reds can definitely come back and be the a team they were before \u2013 however, that seems quite unlikely. The Reds have lost their spark for now.<\/p>\n
