Baltimore has also selected outfielder Jordyn Adams from Norfolk and has designated catcher Chadwick Tromp for assignment.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor has struggled in his appearances for the Orioles over the past two seasons, going 5-for-53 with five walks and 28 strikeouts. The prospect hit well in the minors in 2024, and has slashed .226\/.318\/.452 with eight homers and 28 RBI in 45 games for Norfolk this season.<\/p>\n<p>Mountcastle left Friday night&#8217;s game against the Chicago White Sox with right hamstring discomfort. With this IL announcement, Mountcastle becomes the 12th player currently on the IL for the O&#8217;s.
