Golden Griffins senior Zach Van Hook hit a two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Van Hook will play in college at Missouri.<\/p>\n

District 2<\/p>\n

No. 2 seeded Lafayette won the District 2 title at Eureka. The Lancers defeated the top-seeded host Wildcats 4-2.<\/p>\n

Senior Braden Schreimann hit a two-run homer and senior G.T. Taylor added a solo shot to lead the Cadets to the victory. Senior Ryan Mueller went four-for-four with three singles and a double.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The big blow was delivered by junior Landon Ott, a left-handed hitting designated hitter. He went the opposite way by drilling a fastball down the third-base line for a two-run double in the second inning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Host St. Dominic captured the district title with a 4-0 win over Fort Zumwalt East. All four runs came in the sixth inning.<\/p>\n

Sophomore Jaxson Czemiewski drove in two runs on two hits for the Crusaders. Senior AJ Flamm added two hits and an RBI.<\/p>\n

Senior Noah Price scattered five hits over seven innings to pick up the victory.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats as the No. 1 seed after a strong regular season and received a first-round bye.<\/p>\n

In the semifinal round against the No. 4 seed Bayless Bronchos, Westminster won 6-2 The Wildcats erupted for six runs in the second inning. Junior Grady Arnold struck out 10 batters across 6.1 innings while allowing just two runs, only one earned. Junior Eli Boss closed out the final two outs in relief.<\/p>\n

In the district championship game, Westminster met No. 2 seed Lutheran South and beat the Lancers 4-1.<\/p>\n

Freshman Mitch McAlister earned the win after allowing just one unearned run over four innings of work. Sophomore Logan Zenker shut the door with three scoreless innings of relief to earn the save, his sixth of the season, tying the program record for saves in a season set by 2022 graduate Jeremey Sheffield.<\/p>\n

District 6<\/p>\n

Junior designated hitter Graham Rollins drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Eagles. Senior Blake Ditmeyer scored the run.<\/p>\n

Class 3<\/p>\n

District 5<\/p>\n

Duchesne won the district title with a decisive 10-0 over Montgomery County.<\/p>\n

A six-run first inning put the Pioneers in control.<\/p>\n

Senior Alex Hopf drove in two runs on two hits. Senior Jackson Nikodym added two hits. Senior TJ Griese struck out nine over six innings of work.<\/p>\n
