It would be pretty damn McGroovy if the Cincinnati Reds<\/a> could find a way to pick themselves up off the mat and fight their way back into the 2026 season. Because lately, they\u2019ve looked like a floundering club that\u2019s taken too many blows to make that possible.<\/p>\n

Yeah, they\u2019re without Elly De La Cruz<\/a> and Hunter Greene<\/a>. That\u2019s only, like, ~13 WAR a season at those players\u2019 peaks. They\u2019re without their first choice bullpen, but who needs relievers anyway?<\/p>\n

The last place Reds will turn to Rhett Lowder<\/a> on Sunday afternoon at Busch Stadium, and they\u2019ll do so with hopes he can channel his precision much better after resting his shoulder than he did in the final pair of starts before hitting the injured list. They\u2019ll also do so looking to salvage at least one game from this division series against the St. Louis Cardinals<\/a> and, if they win, emerge from the series still at an even .500 on the season.<\/p>\n
