After notching two singles on Friday, the 27-year-old came through with yet another home run in the bottom of the second inning of Saturday&#8217;s showdown with the Athletics.&#8221; -Connon<\/p>\n<p>That home run marked the 100th of Bichette&#8217;s career, making him the first shortstop in Blue Jays history to reach that milestone.<\/p>\n<p>So far this season, Bichette is hitting .279 with seven home runs, 32 RBI&#8217;s, four stolen bases, and a .761 OPS. Up to 2023, his career averages stood at a .299 batting average, .826 OPS, 27 home runs, 96 RBI&#8217;s, 16 stolen bases, and a 5.4 WAR per 162 games.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto edged out an 8-7 victory on Saturday, fueled by Bichette&#8217;s early home run and George Springer&#8217;s two later blasts.
