Coming off their second consecutive World Series title last year, the Dodgers entered this season planning to visit the White House to celebrate their 2025 World Series title, as The California Post first reported in February<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts<\/a> was even quoted in an LA Times article at the time saying: \u201cI\u2019m going to go to the White House<\/a>\u2026 I am going to continue to try to do what tradition says and not try to make political statements, because I am not a politician.\u201d<\/p>\n

After visiting the White House following their 2024 World Series title, it\u2019s unknown if the Dodgers will make a return visit this season after winning the 2025 World Series title.<\/p>\n

But four months later, the status of the visit remains unclear.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers have remained silent about a White House visit this season, declining to comment on a recent inquiry from The Post for an update.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no secret that the fanbase has been outspoken about ICE and other policies under President Donald Trump. In fact, the Dodgers fanbase staunchly disapproved of Los Angeles\u2019 decision to attend the White House last season following their 2024 World Series title.<\/p>\n

But the Dodgers still went \u2014 and that\u2019s what they should do now<\/a>. If their schedule allows for it, that is.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understandable that trying to line up the schedule of an MLB team with that of the President of the United States is rather difficult.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles notably did not go to the White House during their opening road trip of the season in April, which started with a weekend series in Washington D.C. At that time, scheduling conflicts prevented the visit, including all three games against the Nationals starting in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers will be in the Northeast for two weeks following the All-Star break in mid-July with consecutive series against the Yankees, Phillies and Mets. That stretch includes an off day on July 23, when the club could theoretically travel down to Washington.<\/p>\n

After winning the 2025 World Series title, the Dodgers could potentially visit the President Trump in the White House after the All-Star break in mid-July. The Washington Post via Getty Images<\/p>\n

But any other reason for not attending the White House would be a complete travesty.<\/p>\n

Throw politics out the window. Toss the BS aside. This isn\u2019t about any of that nonsense.<\/p>\n

Getting the chance to visit the White House, see the Oval Office and be celebrated by the President is an honor. It was when George Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden were President, and it still is with Trump.<\/p>\n

Whether fans agree or disagree with Trump\u2019s policies is completely irrelevant to the matter \u2014 and that\u2019s how it should be. This isn\u2019t about politics.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe White House is an incredible honor to get to go see, regardless of who\u2019s in office,\u201d Dodgers star pitcher Clayton Kershaw said after visiting the White House in 2025 following Los Angeles\u2019 2024 World Series title. \u201cWe went in 2021. We went this time. I know there\u2019s been a lot of stuff about, should the Dodgers go? All this stuff. But at the end of the day, getting to go to the White House, getting to see the Oval Office, getting to meet the President of the United States, that\u2019s stuff that you can\u2019t lose sight of, no matter what you believe. I was super honored to get to go today. It was an incredible opportunity. I\u2019m glad we got to be part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fellow Dodgers star Mookie Betts, one of the team\u2019s most outspoken stars, initially voiced concern about visiting the White House last season \u2014 but ultimately he changed his mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo matter what I say or what I do, people are gonna take it as political,\u201d Betts said at the time. \u201cBut that\u2019s definitely not what it is. This is about what the Dodgers were able to accomplish last year.\u201d<\/p>\n

The White House has yet to comment on the status of the Dodgers\u2019 trip this season.<\/p>\n

However, back in February, a White House official told The Post exclusively that the team has been in touch with the administration and plans to attend, though a date has yet to be set.<\/p>\n
