Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The latest issue adds to a long list of lower-body problems the 2023 National League MVP has dealt with in recent years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He tore his ACL in May 2024, ending that campaign after just 49 games, and returned last year to play in 95 games.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Acuna tore his right ACL, which took him out for about a year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Late last month, Acu\u00f1a also <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/21\/sports\/ronald-acuna-jr-exits-game-in-latest-braves-concern\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">suffered a bone bruise in his left thumb<\/a>, although he opted to play through the ailment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When healthy this season, Acu\u00f1a hasn\u2019t quite looked like his MVP-like self.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 52 games, the five-time All-Star is hitting .251\/.373\/.421 with seven home runs and 15 stolen bases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.50367107;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39639200\" width=\"887\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/2279113301.jpg\" alt=\"Atlanta Braves player Ronald Acu\u00f1a Jr. wearing sunglasses and a light green glove.\" class=\"wp-image-39639200\"  \/>Ronald Acuna Jr. #13 of the Atlanta Braves during the game against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park on May 31, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
