Cortes<\/a> is out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Angels.<\/p>\n

Cortes is stuck in a 2-for-29 slump at the plate over his last 10 games, and since the left-handed hitter likely would have struggled to get back on track Sunday versus Angels southpaw Reid Demters, the Athletics<\/a> have elected to keep him on the bench for a second straight game.
