NORTHEAST KANSAS (KSNT<\/a>) \u2014 This week’s episode of K-Nation focuses on the Jayhawks and Wildcats headed to the MLB Draft Combine, football commits from the class of 2027, Darryn Peterson and the upcoming NBA draft and more. Plus, an exclusive one-on-one with Kansas vertical jumps coach Tom Hays.<\/p>\n

Kansas baseball’s Tyson LeBlanc, Dominic Voegele and Brady Ballinger are all headed to the MLB Draft Combine<\/p>\n

K-State’s Dee Kennedy and James Guyette will participate in the MLB Draft Combine<\/p>\n

Former Wildcat AJ Evasco, who transferred to Arkansas per Pete Nakos, will attend the MLB Draft Combine as well<\/p>\n

The Bat ‘Cats have added a handful of transfers already ahead of the 2027 season, including reigning JUCO National Champion Victor Christal<\/p>\n

The Jayhawks will add more JUCO transfers ahead of the 2027 season, including Gaston College’s Joey Nicholson, who had 16 home runs and 79 RBI this season<\/p>\n

Collin Klein and the Wildcats have been hot on the recruiting trail with the class of 2027, having added 13 commits since May 31st<\/p>\n

K-State football saw their bowl opt-out fine reduced from $500,000 to $250,000 due to an appeal, according to On3 Sports<\/p>\n

Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks have added eight commits since the start of June, ranking No. 43 overall on the recruiting trail for 2027<\/p>\n

Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff will be live outside of Wembley Stadium ahead of the Union Jack Classic between the Jayhawks and the Arizona State Sun Devils<\/p>\n

Ahead of the 2026 NBA Draft on June 23-24, sources report “increased consideration” that KU’s Darryn Peterson will head to the Washington Wizards as the No. 1 overall pick<\/p>\n

Kansas women’s hoops will play in the Cancun Challenge from Nov. 26-28 alongside Miami (OH), Minnesota and Washington State, among others<\/p>\n

KU alum Elle Evans will play international basketball overseas with\u00a0CLV-Limonta Costa Masnaga in Italy<\/p>\n

K-State track and field’s Travis Geopfert, Clive Pullen and Tah Chikombah earned Men’s Coach of the Year, Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year and Men’s Athlete of the Year honors from USTFCCCA in the Midwest Region<\/p>\n
