The win secured Southern Tioga\u2019s spot in the PA District 15 championship game on Friday, June 26 in Athens.<\/p>\n<p>Athens managed to tie the game in the sixth inning, but Southern Tioga eked out the victory with a game-winning walk with bases loaded in the bottom half of the inning.<\/p>\n<p>Wellsboro defeated Towanda 3-2 in the semifinal match in the elimination bracket and faced Athens on Wednesday, June 24. The winner of Wednesday\u2019s match advanced to the championship game against Southern Tioga.
