Boyle allowed six runs on nine hits over five innings, striking out four. Boyle lived in the zone throughout, but allowed eight barrels on 19 balls in play. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/m\/marquge01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=eastvillagetimes.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-01_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">German Marquez<\/a> appeared in relief, likely due to the Padres\u2019 roster needs, allowing three runs in two-thirds of an inning. While Marquez\u2019s fastball touched as high as 96.6 mph, the fastball saw two of three balls in play come off the bat over 95 mph. The velocity could be irrelevant if the ball is coming off the bat harder than the pitch is going in. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=tamare000mis&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=eastvillagetimes.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-01_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Misael Tamarez<\/a> allowed one run on two hits in 1.2 innings of relief, walking three batters. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=yeager000jus&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=eastvillagetimes.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-01_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Justin Yeager<\/a> retired all five batters he faced, pitching 1.2 scoreless frames.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Luis Campusano made his return to game action, going 2-for-2 with El Paso. Campusano played six innings defensively and at the plate launched his 100th career professional home run. Campusano\u2019s swing looks unchanged from his major league playing time this season, and if he continues to progress well, he could be back with the Padres before the All-Star break. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=sanabr000rom&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=eastvillagetimes.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-01_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Romeo Sanabria<\/a> went hitless, but hit the second-hardest exit velocity in all of Triple-A baseball with his eighth-inning grounder that led to a fielding error; the ball came off the bat at 110.1 mph. Haynes threw 6.2 innings of two-run baseball against the Sod Poodles, striking out four batters. The Missions\u2019 starter allowed just four hits on the evening, with seven outs coming on the ground. The 23-year old has not missed a beat since making the jump from High-A. Albert Fabian finished with three hits, driving in four runs. Fabian was a triple shy of the cycle; he hit a two-run single in the second inning to score <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=karpat000bra&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=eastvillagetimes.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-01_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Braedon Karpathios<\/a> and Jake Cunningham, and launched his sixth home run of the season in the fourth inning.
